Introducing Packages

Kroger deductions will now be combined into dispute Packages to streamline the disputing process. The Packages will combine deduction codes based on dispute type and invoice number. This update aligns with how Kroger requires disputes to be submitted and will eliminate friction in the current dispute process.

SupplyPike will automatically map in the dispute type for a majority of deduction codes based on our research and knowledge. This mapping will then be used to group like deductions together on the same invoice into 1 Package to disputed all together with Kroger.

  • The List View in the app will now show these dispute Packages. You can click on a Package to see all individual deduction details, down to the associated deduction lines.

  • Auto-dispute and auto-archiving settings will now be set at the Package level, not the code level. SupplyPike will do our best to map your current settings to this new view.

  • You'll still have access to all your data. Exports will be available at the Package and Deduction Line level.

  • We will continue to automatically attach required documents for disputes by matching shipping documents and invoices using the purchase order and invoice number.

  • Streamlined Disputes: By grouping deductions by invoice and dispute type, we ensure your dispute submissions align perfectly with Kroger's requirements

  • New Auto-Dispute Settings: Configure your auto-dispute rules by package type – dispute all shortages, regardless of the code (4, 6, 8, SH, etc.)

  • Improved Data Accuracy: The current app could lead to the same dispute being tied to multiple deduction codes in SupplyPike; by grouping into Packages we can ensure disputes will not be counted more than once and give you increased confidence in using your SupplyPike data for reporting.

What this Means for You

These updates are designed to make it even easier to dispute your Kroger deductions. No action is required on your part to see these updates or continue using the app.

Recommended actions to ensure you are getting the most value from the new features:

  • Review & enable auto-dispute settings

  • Ensure you have an integration established to send SupplyPike both your shipping documents and Invoice documents.


Glossary of Terms

Code

The specific number or letter Kroger uses to identify a why deduction has been taken. This influences what the deduction will be disputed as, and therefore, what Package the deduction will be grouped under.

Deduction

When Kroger withholds some or all of a payment. Previously referred to in the Kroger app as payment, we've aligned with other retailers that the deduction is when Kroger withholds funds from payment.

Dispute

Previously referred to as a claim in Kroger, we've updated to align with other retailers that the dispute is when you submit your case to the retailer to recover funds from a deduction.

Package

For Kroger, the deduction(s) that will be disputed under the same dispute type for a given invoice.

Type

The category of deduction received from Kroger, aligns with the Package.
