What is Auto Dispute?

Auto-disputing is an exciting feature that automates the disputing process, eliminating manual work. This zero-touch, automated dispute-submission feature enables you to make routine disputes and re-disputes of deductions and claims with a customizable autopilot.

Auto-dispute is available for all Amazon deduction types: shortage claims, price claims, CoOps, and compliance chargebacks (except for PO On Time Accuracy).

Auto-redispute is available for all re-disputable deductions: shortages, CoOps, and chargebacks (except for PO On Time).

How does it work?

Only 'Not Disputed' (i.e., Actionable) deductions can be auto-disputed. The user can set different criteria and conditions for which claims will be auto-disputed.

For re-dispute automation, only claims that are eligible for re-disputing will be automatically re-disputed. For example, only shortage claims with remaining deduction dollars and resolved initial disputes with a status of "Denied" or "Partially Approved" will be re-disputed. For CoOps, only those with resolved initial disputes and invalid amounts exceeding the total repaid amount will be re-disputed.

Can I view which claims were auto-disputed?

Yes! You can use the Auto Disputed filter on the Deductions page and check the "auto-disputed" and "disputed through SP" columns on our list view exports.

How do I set up Auto Dispute and Auto Re-Dispute?

Click on the gear icon at the top right corner of the SupplyPike Deductions app Amazon home page. This will take you to the Supplier Settings Page, where you can configure settings for Auto Dispute and Re-Dispute.

Auto-disputing Deductions

You can go to the "Deductions" tab on the settings page to enable and customize auto-disputing for shortages and price claims. Use the checkbox to enable the auto-disputing settings, and then set up criteria for each deduction type. After selecting which deduction types to enable auto-disputing for, you can pick a set of conditions for which deductions will be disputed. Once your criteria are set, please make sure to click on the Save button. The SupplyPike automation will only submit up to 500 initial disputes automatically per day. For shortage claim re-disputes, SupplyPike will limit submission to only 50 claims per week since these involve a more manual review process.

Auto-disputing CoOps

To enable and configure your auto-disputing for CoOps, go to the "CoOps" tab on the settings page and enable auto-disputing for invalid Accruals and/or Vendor Funded Sales Discounts CoOp types. You can use the amount column to set a maximum threshold for CoOps that can also be disputed automatically. Our automation will ensure only up to 50 CoOps with open disputes or re-disputes will be disputed at any time.

Auto-disputing for Chargebacks

With more than three dozen different chargeback types and subtypes, the auto-disputing of chargebacks allows for more specificity and flexibility. Our solution allows you to create generic and/or specific auto-disputing rules that will prepare and submit disputes automatically on any chargebacks that fit your rules and criteria. To set up chargeback auto-disputing criteria, go to the "Chargebacks" tab on the settings page and click on the "Set New Rule" button. Fill out the new rule creation form, by selecting a combination of chargebacks type, subtype, and ASIN, as well as providing a dispute explanation and any attachments you'd like included, then click "Create Rule."

Please be sure your rules are enabled for auto-disputing and click the "Save Changes" button. Any rules that are not enabled will be used to automatically prep your chargebacks with any attachments and explanations provided in the rule.

When rules overlap, the rules will apply from most specific to most generic. For example, if you had rule#1 for Prep-Bagging charges on ASIN A and rule #2 on all Prep-Bagging chargebacks, rule #1 will apply first to all Prep-Bagging charges for ASIN A while rule #2 will apply to all other Prep-Bagging charges that aren't specific to ASIN A. If there are two identical rules enabled, then the more recently created rule will apply.
