Opening a Dialog on Denied Disputes

Home Depot does not officially allow suppliers to re-dispute. However, they do provide the option to "Open a Dialog" on the original denied dispute. Generally, suppliers will use this to request that the reviewer take another look at the dispute.

Once a dispute has been denied and a dialog has been opened, it is a waiting game to see if the initial reviewer, or another reviewer will pick it up again to take another look.

From what we have seen, the chance of a reviewer taking another look can really vary. Additionally, if they do decide to revisit the denied dispute, often times it takes much longer for them to re-review than it did on the initial review.

With that being said, opening a dialog on denied disputes can be beneficial in prompting a reviewer to look at the receiving data for that PO again to see if there are any new KeyRec's to offset the denial. From what we've seen this is not something that is happening proactively on the Home Depot side, so prompting the re-review can yield approvals. You can open a dialog on disputes outside of the dispute window, however Home Depot will be less likely to respond from what we have seen. One last thing to keep in mind, that if opening a dialog does not provide results, you can always submit a ticket within Supplier Hub requesting re-review. Note, here as well, the ticket will likely be going to the third party in charge of reviewing disputes.

In some instances, after opening a dialog, the reviewer may request additional documents from the supplier. In this scenario, the dispute will be opened again, and thus will be pending Supplier Action.

Opening a Dialog in SupplyPike

At any point after the initial dispute, you will be able to open a dialog from the SupplyPike app. Open the details for a deduction or open invoice, and simply add your subject, along with your message and hit 'Open Dialog'. We'll shoot the message off to Home Depot, and you will be able to see the message reflected in the Activity Log within the SupplyPike app.

Wanting to follow-up on denied disputes? Head to the 'Resolved' bucket from the list view and filter by Status --> 'Denied' to get a list of all denied disputes.
