What is ShipIQ?

ShipIQ (SIQ) is a critical tool Target uses to manage shipments for Domestic, collect vendors and can be accessed from Target's online system, POL, under "Apps & Reports." The application is designed to help automate shipment creation and scheduling to ensure each PO is delivered on time.

Actively reviewing and managing orders in SIQ is imperative to avoid On Time Release and Supplier Pickup Adherence compliance fines from Target.

Reviewing & Releasing Orders in ShipIQ

Each PO Target sends to a vendor using SIQ will need to be reviewed and released for shipment routing within the timeframe Target has provided.

How often should I check ShipIQ?

Target will set the PO release deadline as:

  • PO Create + 2 days

  • If a long lead-time PO, Ship End - 5 business days

Given the quick turnaround of the release timeframe, we recommend setting daily email or calendar reminders to check SIQ for new POs to review for release.

Steps to release a PO for shipment:

  1. Open the SIQ application

  2. Find POs that have outstanding shipments for review

    1. The POs that need review will have a countdown in the "Time Left to Review" column and the "Shipments Reviewed and Submitted" column will be less than 100%

  3. Click the down arrow next to the PO to see all associated shipments & its details

    1. Confirm details for each shipment, including: cartons, weight, cube (ft), pallet space and commodity codes.

    2. If any value is incorrect, update the value before submitting for release

  4. Select the checkmark for all shipments that have reviewed and are ready for release and click the "Set as Reviewed" button.

    1. Review all shipments under the PO within the review timeframe to meet the 100% On Time Release compliance goal.

  5. After the shipment is released, Target will route it for shipment.

    1. Have all shipments ready on the assigned Pickup Date to meet the 100% Supplier Pickup Adherence compliance goal.

Tips:

  • If you are frequently having to modify details while reviewing shipments, you may need to review your item setup information in the Item Management app to ensure it's accurate.

  • If you want or need to cancel a shipment to a PO location, you should cancel that one shipment and reach out to your Inventory Analyst.

Editing pickup dates in ShipIQ

After a PO is released and routed for shipment by Target, a pickup date will be assigned by Target to ensure the order meets its In Yard delivery date. If a vendor does need to edit a pickup date, they must update the Pickup Date in SIQ and provide an accurate reason as to why the date had to be moved. The date must be pushed 2 or more days past the current date. You should also notify your Inventory Analyst of the delay.

While you are able to modify the pickup date, doing so will result in compliance fines.

Need Access?

Not seeing ShipIQ listed in the "Apps & Reports" section of your POL account? Ask your admin to grant you access. If you are an admin, you can give yourself access to ShipIQ.

Steps to update access in Supplier Management:

  2. Navigate to the "Contacts" tab

  3. Find the contact you want to update access for, check the box on the left and then click on the "edit" box.

  4. Scroll down to the "Apps & Report Access" section and check the box for "ShipIQ - MerchVendor"

  5. Click "Save Changes" at the bottom of the page.

Not sure who is your admin?
