Kohl's Vendor Compliance and Supply Chain Performance

Brief overview of Kohl's vendor compliance program.

Kohl’s, like every retailer, needs the right products in the right place at the right time at the right cost. Late or short shipments create out-of-stocks, rework, and cost (higher prices for me and you at the store). To keep things running smoothly, Kohl’s uses a supplier compliance scorecard program that rewards on-time, in-full, accurate performance and may assess charges when orders miss the mark. The goal isn’t fines, it’s 100% compliance so we can find what we're after when we go shopping online or in stores.

In SupplyPike, the deductions for these will show up as either an EDI code 49 or as a specific compliance deduction. We will show them, and help you aggregate and trend them, and look up any supporting proof documentation for them if they're associated with a purchase order number.

If you're wanting to dispute Kohl's compliance deductions, that will have to be done in Kohl's Traverse portal.

Something to look forward to, we'll try to add a breakdown here of how the fine for each compliance type above is calculated.

In the meantime, if you haven't taken the time to watch Kohl's Audit Process video in the training section of their Traverse portal, it's worth the 4 minutes and 53 seconds the video takes. You'll get a brief tour of one of their DC's as well as a walk through of how they handle non-compliant receiving. Make sure you're logged into Traverse and then click this link: https://kss.traversesystems.com/#/webvideos.
