When submitting a dispute through Deductions Navigator, it is not immediately created in the APDP portal. A job is scheduled behind the scenes which is a process that usually takes between a few seconds and a few minutes.

Although rare, it is possible that while in this process a dispute could fail to be submitted to Walmart's APDP portal. When this occurs, Deductions Navigator will show an icon on the card indicating that the dispute failed...

Along with displaying in the Deductions Detail view the reason(s) for the failure.

Below are reasons a dispute could fail to make it to APDP, and how they can be resolved.

  • APDP had some trouble receiving this dispute

    • Some intermittent issues have been observed with APDP's system, which prevents new disputes from being created. If a dispute submission fails because APDP is not allowing new disputes to be created, Deductions Navigator will show this message. If the issue persists, reach out to the Walmart EBS (Enterprise Business Solutions) team at WMGBS@wal-mart.com or 888-499-6377.

  • APDP’s document upload is failing for this dispute

    • APDP's document upload feature has proven to have issues uploading certain pdf documents. They have acknowledged the issue and claim to be working on it, but it has not yet been fully resolved. If a dispute submission cannot be created because documents cannot be uploaded, then this message will be displayed. We recommend retrying the dispute once, and if the document upload continues to fail please reach out to the Walmart EBS (Enterprise Business Solutions) team at WMGBS@wal-mart.com or 888-499-6377.

    • We have seen some success with downloading the file that is having trouble (usually a .pdf), saving it as a new file type (i.e. - .png, .jpeg, etc), and then attempting to upload the new file.

  • We were unable to find a record in APDP to dispute for this deduction

    • APDP's dispute process starts by looking up a record to dispute. In some scenarios APDP does not return a disputable claim or invoice record for a deduction, thus a dispute cannot be created. If you believe this is an error, reach out to the Walmart EBS (Enterprise Business Solutions) team at WMGBS@wal-mart.com or 888-499-6377.

  • None of the selected claim lines were available for dispute in APDP

    • APDP requires each claim line to be disputed individually. If a dispute is initiated from Deductions Navigator and a claim is available for dispute but one of its underlying claim lines is not available in APDP, then this error will be displayed. If you believe this is an error, reach out to the Walmart EBS (Enterprise Business Solutions) team at WMGBS@wal-mart.com or 888-499-6377.

  • Claim Code __ is not available to dispute through APDP

    • APDP does not allow certain codes to be disputed. If a dispute is initiated for a code that APDP does not support, then this message will be displayed. These deductions must be disputed through other channels.

**NOTE: Although we no longer dispute to Direct Commerce, Below are reasons a dispute may have failed to make it to DCI, and how they can be resolved in APDP.

  • This dispute cannot be updated in Direct Commerce

    • As Walmart phases out the old Direct Commerce portal, they have instructed that no new disputes can be submitted through Direct Commerce. This means that the only information that will be updated is new comments and attachments for disputes in a status of Supplier Action. When trying to update a Supplier Action dispute in Direct Commerce, if Direct Commerce will not allow an update for that dispute, then this error will be returned. In this scenario, the Direct Commerce dispute must be cancelled (or allowed to expire) and then a new dispute can be created in APDP.
