What is the Validity feature?

SupplyPike Deductions app analyzes your ASN, invoice, and receiving data for Walmart deductions in order to provide a judgment regarding the validity of each deduction. Now you can sort and filter claims based on validity and understand at a glance which ones are most likely to be repaid!

How does it work?

SupplyPike Deductions app collects and analyzes your ASN, invoice, and warehouse received data to evaluate whether a deduction is invalid, likely invalid, likely valid, or validity unclear. Due to the availability of data from Walmart, validity judgments are only able to be made for deductions from 2022 and moving forward. We are unable to access the necessary data for most older deductions.

How are the Validity judgments defined?

Likely Valid: Using a shortage code example, if the ASN and invoice match and the warehouse received data shows short case count and short item count, this is likely a valid deduction.

Likely Invalid: Using a shortage code example, if the ASN and invoice match and the warehouse received data shows correct case count but incorrect item count, this is likely an invalid deduction.

Invalid: If you receive a shortage deduction but your invoice quantity, ASN quantity, and warehouse received quantity are all equal, we will be able to identify this as an invalid deduction. For an allowance code, the deduction would appear to be invalid if the invoice matches the terms set out in the Supplier agreement.

Why does a deduction show "validity unclear"?

The validity might be tagged with "validity unclear" due to a few different potential reasons. The most common reasons are either because the ASN data from Walmart isn't provided, or Walmart did not specify an item number for what was supposedly shipped short. Without this ASN data, it is impossible to make an accurate validity judgment.
