In Full Invalid Fine Scenarios:

The two scenarios of potentially invalid fines we are automatically identifying come from DSS and ASN data. When these numbers are higher than what Walmart says they received in the OTIF app in retail link, we identify those cases as invalidly fined because of the discrepancies in the amounts.

  • DSS discrepancies come from the “Decision Support - New” app in Retail Link and is another internal record of what is received by Walmart. This number sometimes exceeds what is reported as received in the OTIF app in Retail Link making it a good data source to use in disputes.

  • ASN discrepancies come from the “Advanced Shipment Notice Dashboard” in Retail Link and is a reflection of what you claim to have shipped, when it exceeds Walmart’s OTIF receiving quantities.

Both scenarios can be disputed in the SupplyPike app when the discrepancy between what is received in the OTIF app is less than either of the sources mentioned. Typically DSS has a higher win rate when it comes to disputing these charges but ASN has a higher amount that can be disputed. Because these fines are re-disputable, we recommend attempting an ASN discrepancy dispute first, and then trying the DSS discrepancy route if your ASN dispute is rejected.

Prepaid On Time Invalid Fine Scenarios:

The invalid fine scenario we often see for Prepaid On Time occurs when there are no delivery appointments available in the MABD Window. This causes suppliers to schedule outside of their MABD window and submit a callback request asking for Walmart to move it into the window. When Walmart does not move the appointment back as requested, the PO becomes non-compliant even though the necessary steps were taken.

Collect Ready Invalid Fine Scenarios:

The invalid fines we often see for collect ready occur when suppliers are charged for Late Routing, even though their original routing request was submitted before the deadline to route. OTIF compliance rules grade you on the timing of the final routing request, but circumstances out of your control, including Walmart canceling pickups or failing to show up, may have resulted in additional routing requests being required.
